I have photos of the art at the museum in Grand Rapids, too...I'll put them on facebook. We had a really wonderful weekend last week - we went to the Temple in Chicago and the next day went to the Gordon Food Show in Grand Rapids...it was a lot of driving for two days. But it was certainly worth the trip! Plus, Harriet and I packed vegetables in the car and healthy snacks, so there was no need for yucky fast food on our part! Yeah!
Also, I decided to become vegan a couple of weeks ago. I'll admit, the food here is delicious and I love making it! But I learned that for now, veganism is the best way for me to go. Don't worry though, I've got plenty of supplementary vitamins and minerals, and I don't plan on going crazy with this new way of eating.
Oh, and Lisa is vegetarian! Harriet and I love having her in our room. I think we all make a good team, and our room has been gradually decorated and looks quite lovely. We had a big Persian session here this weekend, and I even had amazing vegan ghormeh sabzi! Yummm. I plan on doing more sewing as well: Harriet and I have plans to make lovely purses and hem older clothes. I even got a rice sack from the Persian rice this weekend and intend to turn into a cool bag. :)
This week will be a good time for relaxation...we have a big banquet on Tuesday, but besides that we're not too busy until Friday!
All my love to Oregon and Australia. I'll write again soon!
